That much is uncertain. I would assume a living body is of more use than a dead one. It's one thing to work us until we collapse, it's another to strike us down in our prime. [ so to speak ] There is always the possibility that there is a force attempting to tamper with Nut & Bolt Co.

We didn't even agree to be here, though. We don't have to do the work. If that's what they wanted, shouldn't the senior crew be their targets?

That is true. Which makes it more likely that the perpetrator was already on the ship.

It is the most likely scenario. It's easiest to blend into the crew and let that conceal your identity than come in as a stranger who could be easily identified once caught.

But if that's right, what are we supposed to do about it? They're the ones running this ship.

Ah, it seems I misunderstood. I do not think it was one of the Senior Crew exactly.

But rather a crew member, senior or junior.

...That's still weird though, isn't it? None of us have a reason to do anything like that.

How do you know that? Can you say for certain you know the motivations of everyone on this ship?

I- I don't, but... why would anyone have a reason for that? We've barely known each other for a week.

People can be capable of many cruel and unusual things. I am not suggesting that you treat everyone here as a potential threat, merely... be careful.

Doing something like that when there's this few of us is stupid. And it could be an accident. There's no point in jumping to conclusions.

It could be. You are right that it is early yet to draw conclusions, but the timing of Master Dahut's coinciding with the unusual events of last night give plenty reason to be wary as well.
