[ he waves his hand to order something, and a glass of water appears. here you go bud. order something strong but maybe have that first. ]
I hoped to catch both culprits, but I could not have thought the votes would align the way that they did - even last night, when I was pondering the larger implications of how the voting process might work, I had ruminated on a situation where we were forced to choose, and at least we would be able to monitor and question the other person to keep an eye on if they would still be impacted by the manipulative tactics of Thursday.
[ he nods his thanks for the water and sips it, quiet for a moment. ]
I wonder if perhaps this will continue until not one of us is left standing. I do not enjoy the thought of accepting such a fate, and yet I already feel as if the death of our culprits is inevitable tomorrow.
... There's currently a theory that the other members of this crew - the ones before our senior crew - may have been in a situation not unlike ours, in that they may have killed each other. Our current senior crew's memories of their crewmates are quite faulty, and there appears to be some sort of mental block when we speak to them regarding their experience before on the 'winter tour'.
[ temenos looks thoughtful as he says this, flipping pages in his notebook absently. ]
While I do not necessarily find them trustworthy, I do believe unlocking what happened to them may be the key to stopping this cycle we've found ourselves in.
The notebooks themselves have been uncovered from a variety of investigations of the ship. It will be something for you to keep an eye out for - you'll know, when you end up on the right trail.
[ because things get weird. ] I don't have all of the notebooks myself; I am not as technologically savvy as some of the others. But I've kept careful records. The methodical understanding of the core of our issue is the key to breaking what could be a long-running cycle.

It couldn't speak beyond grunts. Not to mention, each situation where one of these has appeared has been a different anomaly - Throné, for example, ran into a creature that only said "oooooo" the first time she found one. I'm of the opinion that perhaps they are minor disturbances like the storms themselves - using... ah. Cosmoelectromagnetic waves, I believe is the term.
