anyway, dion is mostly just looking around curiously. he'll smile when he sees temenos. ]

Hello, Temenos. Have you been well?

[ me like why of course and then i looked up and saw church and i laughed

anyway temenos is here! he's sitting in one of the pews, legs stretched out in front of him. his feet are currently resting on this monstrosity, which is roughly horse sized and drooling on the floor. its eyes are open but it appears to be breathing like it's asleep? i wouldn't ask. ]

I thought you might make your way here. [ of course! ] I'm as fine as I've been, though I ought to be addressing you with that question, I think...?

IGNORING THAT FOR A SECOND... ]

I am glad to hear it. You were most dour when we last met face to face.

[inquired]

[ don't worry about it ]

Dour! I don't think I've ever been called dour in my life, though I think that perhaps you being on death row might account for it.

[ he laughs ]

I shall endeavour not to put you in such a position again. [ smiles ] Truly, I hope you have been well, Temenos.

Worry less about me, and more about yourself in that regard.

[ please don't do a possession murder again for whatever reason ]

Besides, you know me. [ a wave of his hand there. ] It takes quite a bit to rock me off of my feet, missions and flesh monsters included.

[ but he pats the spot nearby on the pew...? please ignore the monster. come sit. ]

I'd like to hear of your time on the other side, if you would share it with me.

[ comes to sit, blatantly staring at this large creature ]

Our time was relatively peaceful, I would say. We did not have to fear danger as you did here. [ smiles at him ] Or the chaos of Omega Mart items.

[inquired]

[ stares at the sun thinking about omegamart items ]

Maybe I should have died.

[ don't. anyway the creature makes this... gurgling noise. it's a weird noise. it stares up at dion now, awake, apparently. jiiiii ]

[agamid]

[ chiding, ] Do not say such things.

[ ANYWAY stares back at it ]

May I ask... what is this?

[inquired]

[ mutters: ] It may have been preferable.

[ ugh

anyway. the monster gurgles again and lifts its big dumb head to stare at dion. temenos looks down, like he has completely forgotten it existed, and then shrugs. ]

Oh. [ don't just oh ] This? He lives in the jungle biome, but he's taken a liking to me. [ THIS IS NOT AN EXPLANATION ] Don't let it frighten you, it's harmless.

[ to demonstrate, he nudges the... thing between its sticking out ribs with a foot. it gurgles again, and then starts lifting its head. only... its body just stays really still, and its neck starts stretching upwards...upwards...until it is on eye level with dion with just the motion of its unnaturally long neck. it has not blinked once. ]

[agamid]

[ he stares back at it, refusing to be cowed ]

I see.

[ while maintaining eye contact with the creature, ] You've piqued my curiosity. What curse occurred that's caused you such grief?

[inquired]

[ the creature refuses to look away. its stupid tongue is sticking out of its mouth like the world's worst blep. like :3 but with a tongue sticking out. it is unblinking...staring. jiiii.

temenos looks amused by this situation. ]

You know, I don't believe he has the ability to blink, Dion. [ lol. as for the question: ] They're all worthy of grief, frankly - it's nothing so special one way or the other.

[agamid]

[ he'll blink... but he is holding its gaze still. unfortunately it's a little cute with its tongue out like that. ]

Fair enough. I truly felt a little mad that first week they became available.

[inquired]

[ the creature's tongue unfolds from its mouth like an accordion. it's like a couple feet long.

gross. ]

Your goat incident was quite unforgettable. [ lmao. ] Though, I'm sure you all were able to witness the worst of ours in living color, so I suppose one could say it's karmic.

[ stares at the tongue like okay then ]

It was most amusing to watch Lucien face down Nancy yesterday. [ help ] But it was far more enjoyable to witness them than to be subject to them. It is heartening to see you all grow close.

[inquired]

They have grown quite close, haven't they?

[ temenos is not including himself in this growing close discussion because he is the passive observer, in all things. still, he does sound a little fond - chuckles a little at the nancy remark because. yeah. ] It was probably good for him to get some of his aggression out.

I take it you all were able to bond through your circumstances...? Or, at least it seems so, based on what we could glean from the HERMES.

[ doesn't let him get away with it ]

anyway, finally turns away from the monster to look at temenos, amused ]

I suppose we did. It was a pleasant past time of ours to spectate on your affairs.

[inquired]

[ he's starting to regret thinking he missed dion actually :nyeh:

he smiles, though, as usual - serene and at peace, with a sparkle of mischief in his eyes. ]

Watching me that closely, were you? [ attempts to parry ] I ought to be flattered.

Ah yes. [ teases him back ] I was most pleased to see how affectionate you are capable of being.

[inquired]

[ looks into the camera like this is the office ]

When I am manipulatively forced to by manners beyond my control, I suppose, yes, I can be.

[ laughs ]

It is not so terrible. I found myself rather missing it, when the week after physical contact resulted in pain.

[inquired]

Hmm... somehow, that doesn't surprise me.

[ amused... then again he got cursed into love arrow hell during the injury week so maybe it's just from that. ] You've got quite a capability for those sorts of things, your highness. I hope it's not run you into any trouble, here...?
